Because I am the first in my family to go college!! QUE VIVA LA PINCHE RAZA!!!!!! QUERER ES PODER!! btw, grad school is so fucking great and amazing! You literally think you KNOW but you have NO Idea... just when you think you know .... you learn so much more ... then you really know.. and you still don't even know everything... so you are always learning!!!! :)

"FitMe Challenge" Info

Hey Ladies and Gents. So if you are reading this blog then I’m hoping you are interested in the “Fit-Me Challenge” correct? Ok so I am going to be as brutally honest and authentic with you because I believe honesty is key!

 

This challenge will be absolutely tough! Tough because you are going to have to hold yourself accountable! I am not going to hold your hand day in and day out BUT you will get all the information and guidance necessary to succeed.

 

The challenge will come with a nutritional plan,at home workout that MUST be done (part of the challenge) and of course weekly check ins!

 

Now lets talk about the check ins… They will be every Saturday; you will have to shoot me an email with an update letting me know how things are going. If you send me your check in a day before or day after, I will not read it. I will answer basic questions but don’t expect for me to baby you on your challenge. The update should let me know how you’re feeling, if you’re noticing change internally and externally, and some basic questions. Don’t send me an update asking how to do a certain exercise (google it) if frozen vegetables are better than canned veggies (it’s your choice) or how to cook grilled chicken (google again). Catching my vibe now? Ask me good quality questions… if you have some… and if you don’t… great J

 

How will I Track your progress? Well before the challenge starts (October 1st) You will have to take a front and side picture(women wearing bikini/sports bra/booty shorts/etc… men wearing shorts only… more skin showing the better…no nudies please) on both pictures you need to hold a paper that has “Fit Me Challenge October 1st” written the day of the challenge along with the marker you wrote with. On the last day of the challenge November 13th you will take same pictures front and side holding a paper and pen that reads “Fit Me Challenge November 13th”.  Winners will be chosen based on the biggest transformation. I do not want to know how much weight you’ve lost or inches or body fat! ITS WHAT YOUR PICTURES WILL SHOW! HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TRANSFORMED WITHIN 6 WEEKS!

 

Think about it, its 6 weeks of your life you will challenge yourself and dedicate yourself to! 6 weeks to get your ass into shape for the holidays! Yes we are almost at the end of the year but wouldn’t you want to end 2016 with a bang? Or hey even get a head start to 2017!?!?!?  

 

You will have to be creative with your meals! Think outside the box! If you were to get stuck on creating meals…resort to my social media! I post tons of recipes that you can use on the challenge ok!

 

If you want a challenge that will give you an awesome transformation, then give my “Fit-Me Challenge” a try! FOCUS AND DEDICATE YOUR FUCKING ASS AND WORK HARD! Trust me, greatness is within us but you have to find it in you and bring it out! Becoming healthy and fit is not hard… it becomes hard when you lose your heart and motivation!

 

IF you decide to take up this challenge… this is what I highly recommend you do to stay motivated! Go buy an outfit that you absolutely love or pull out some clothes in your closet that you use to love wearing because it would make you feel some type of way! Get that outfit and put it somewhere in your room or rest room where you will be able to see it daily! Every day when you wake up in the morning, look at that outfit and tell yourself “I AM GOING TO FUCKING WEAR YOU AGAIN AND ROCK THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!”

Registration will open up September 19thand will close September 30th. I will announce when registration opens on social media and there will be a direct link on my site to register

Entrance fee will $150…. But think about it, it breaks down to $25 bucks a week… your asses spend more than that dropping it low at the club every weekend or en la pinche lonchera!!!!

Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice

Im pretty sure I am not the only one who loves rice and could eat it everyday right?!?!? Well your life is about to change with this tasty cauliflower rice!!!

This rice is so good and you will literally finish it all in one day!!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cauliflower head
  • Food processor
  • cilantro bunch
  • 2 limes
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • non stick spray
  • Ground Cumin
  • Sea Salt (be generous)

Wash 1 cauliflower head and cut out center

You will then put cauliflower in food processor and put on low until cauliflower is finely chopped. 

Go ahead and get about 1/2 of cilantro bunch and finely chop it. Also mince your 4 garlic cloves. 

You will then add non stick spray to pan and add the minced garlic and chopped cauliflower. 

Once you see that the cauliflower is turning a light goldish brown color, add the chopped cilantro.

about 2-5 minutes later, add your ground cumin (according to taste) and squeeze your two limes on the rice. You can also choose to add salt but be generous (we don't want to retain too much water).

And you now have your amazing tasty Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice.

Homemade Corn Tortillas

What my Fit Familia has been waiting for is finally up on my Blog!! How to make homemade corn tortillas! Yes you read right! Homemade corn tortillas!!! 

Do not be intimidated! If I can make them, so can you and you don't have to have any sort of latin/hispanic background ok :)

What you will need:

  • 2 cups Maseca flour
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • tortilla press
  • pan/comal
  • Parchment Paper... or two plastic bags.. como un mexicano verdadero ;)

You will get 2 cups of Maseca and mix with 1 1/3 cup of water... use those hands to mix :)

Once you mix Maseca with water, you can make about 9-10 little balls ;)

You will then cut some parchment paper and put on Tortilla Press. Grab one of your little maseca balls and press away :)

once you make your tortilla, go ahead and add to your comal or pan.

Walaaaaaaaa..... You made yourself some amazing homemade corn tortillas :)

Infinite choice when it come down to eating corn tortillas. My favorite? Tacos, baby quesadillas, pre/post workout meals, and dipping them in some salsa :)

Y aqui tienen sus tortillas hechas a mano! nombre, con un chile del molcajete, queso mexicano, y unos frijolitos!!!! Que vida !!

Zesty Chicken Bowl

WARNING: I need to tell you something before even thinking about creating this seasoning and ZESTY bowl... if you decide to make... YOU WILL GET SUPER ZESTY AND HAVE A ZESTY NIGHT.... IF YOU DECIDE TO MAKE IT FOR YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER.... THEY MIGHT JUST GET EXTRA ZESTY WITH UR SEXY BUTT!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED :)

Dinner can always be a challenge when trying to eat healthy right? What has made my clean eating easier has been my creativity in the kitchen! I am always looking for ways to spice up my dinners and making them eye appealing because lets be honest, if it looks good, we will enjoy eating it :)

 

Zesty Chicken Breast Ingredients:

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tbs cumin
  • 1/2 tbs black pepper
  • 1 tbs oregano
  • 1 tbs paprika
  • 1/2 tbs chili powder
  • juice 8 limes
  • non stick spray
  • sea salt (according to taste)

Instructions:

You will mix all ingredient (don't mix non stick spray... hey I know its obvious but just need to be clear ok! :)    )

Go ahead and rub seasoning on both sides of your chicken boobies. GET DOWN AND DIRTY AND USE THOSE HANDS!!!  I know what you're thinking, its a lot of seasoning right? well guess what... i love my chicken and all lean meats super flavorful! 

Your healthy butts will go ahead and spray non stick spray to your pan/griller/skillet and place your chicken boobies on it and GRRRRILLLLLLL them away :)

Once your chicken is ready, go ahead and make your Zesty Chicken Bowl. You can add any ingredients you like :) i added avocado, black beans, tomato, salad mix, and topped my chicken with the Salsa de Aguacate con Tomatillo that I made the other day!!!

A QUE COMER SALUDABLE PARA MANTENER LAS PINCHES CURVAS PELIGROSAS!!!

Salsa de Aguacate con Tomatillo

So as i mentioned before Fit Familia, I am going to start blogging :) i will begin with this first recipe! Salsa de Aguacate con Tomatillo!

 

Here is a list of all the ingredients you will need: (prep time 15 minutes)

  • 8 tomatillos
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 chile serrano
  • Pulp of 2 small avocados or 1 large Hass avocado
  • 6 cilantro leaves
  • Juice 3 small limes or 2 large limes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Sea salt (always be generous with salt)

Boil tomatillos, chile serrano, and jalapeño until they are poached and juicy looking.

Once tomatillos, chile serrano, and chile jalapeño are ready, you will drain out extra water and put in blender with remaining ingredients (pictures above). 

Make sure you blend all ingredients for at least 5 minutes. You want your salsa to be very creamy! You will soon have your amazing tasty Salsa de Aguacate con Tomatillo!!!!!

 

You be the judge and let me know how it taste on your "clean eating" dishes, tacos, tostadas, eggs, burritos.... pretty much amazing on everything and anything!!

By now you should all know my name, but hello my name is Myra Perez and I am very excited that my website is up and going! Gosh more than anything im beyond excited to have MY own blog where I will be able to share all MY ideas, products I use, daily thoughts, and well pretty much share with you anything I want! No I did not major in journalism so don’t expect a big intense vocabulary from me…or 100% proper grammar and punctuation. Pretty much I consider myself a woman that followed her heart, walked with faith, and ended up in the fitness world changing peoples lives and guess what? I absolutely love it!!! I hope that my blogs stimulate your minds and you also enjoy them! Of course I don’t expect you all to agree with what I post but that’s the beauty of having a blog right? Creo que ya deben de saber mi nombre, pero hola, mi nombre es Myra Pérez, soy hija de padres Michoacanos, y arriba la balasera (hahah no se crean) y estoy muy emocionado que mi sitio web ya está listo! Más que nada estoy muy contenta de tener mi propio blog donde podré compartir todas mis ideas, productos, pensamientos diarios, y pues compartir con ustedes todo lo que me de mi gana :) Para que todos lo sepan desde ahorita no estudie periodismo así que no esperen un gran vocabulario de mí…o 100% uso correcto de la gramática y la puntuación (no me odien por mis imperfecciones).  Yo Myra me considero una mujer que siguió a su corazón, camine con fe, y termine en el mundo del fitness cambiando las vidas de las personas ¿y qué creen? Me encanta lo que hago!!! Espero que mis blogs estimulen sus mentes y que disfruten de lo que escriba!
