 "I can't believe I won first place. Before signing up to this Fitness Challenge I had my doubts about being able to stick to a routine for 6 weeks, not used to exercise or watching what I eat. I felt in need of doing something for myself. I was frustrated with my clothes not fitting;  I found out I weighed the same as being nine months pregnant with my second child. I'm so happy I took this challenge as an opportunity to work on myself. It was not easy, especially trying to adjust to the healthy eating habit. There were a lot of temptations around me but I felt if I cheated I was only cheating myself. I learned a lot about my strenghts and weakness. "I love carbs". I am a mother of two little girls and having to get my workouts done was a mission at times!  I managed to get them done either early morning  after work or at times even late nights. My determination towards my goal and your support  helped me complete this challenge."

"I was so scared to start this challenge because I really doubted I would have the will power to stick to it for 6 weeks. But at the same time I was so tired of being unhappy with myself, of looking in the mirror and complaining about my body and doing nothing about it. So I went for it. I work a full time job, i'm a mom to my beautiful baby girl Brisa(1 year and 8 months) and have my fiancé who I come home to everyday, so squeezing in my workouts to my already busy life wasn't easy. But I did what I had to do, even if that meant waking up extra early or staying up late to do my workouts. Temptations? They were always there. Coming from a mexican family you know exactly how hard it is to resist, but I never gave in. I was working too hard to give up that easy. I just kept focused on how much I wanted this change and how it would all be worth it at the end. It's so rewarding to see that my hard work finally payed off! I couldn't have done this without your support Myra. Thank you so much for the opportunity and for motivating me to be a chingona like you! You really are an inspiration, I hope to continue to better myself using everything that I learned from you through this challenge. " I've followed you for more than a year now and I never felt brave enough to join your challenges. But a couple weeks back I was at a point in my life where I felt so unhappy and unhealthy. Simple things like being on the trampoline with them motivated me to join. Now I'm no longer out of breath and I can enjoy those moments with them. I'm not where I want to be but you have definitely given me a huge push to get there! I've learned to watch what I eat and how much I eat. Thanks to you, I gained a bit of knowledge and I hope to continue on this path towards my goal. When I first emailed you I told you my goal was to be under 200. I haven't seen the scale go under 200 in over 4 years! And thanks to your words of encouragement I reached my first goal! I won't lie. It was hard at times, especially with work and my 3 kids, but my husband was a huge help and I was able to get my workouts done. And i have to admit it was super hard not falling into temptation during Easter and what not but I want to give a shout out to my family who never said no to me when I asked for tuna and veggies lol All I want to say is go after what you want and don't be afraid to put your all into it!" 26 pound difference

"Myra, where do i start? Your challenge motivated me beyond words. I feel so empowered and strong! You have helped me see that I'm a woman who is capable of anything... a Chingona! Being a mom of 4 kids, stress and no 'ME TIME' were super easy excuses. You encouraged me to make my health a priority. And I needed to realize that I could reach any goal I set my mind to.Starting with this one. Screw the excuses! I was ready to kill this challenge, for me!It was so easy to incorporate the meals and exercise plans to my really busy schedule. Which was a lifesaver! And by the way, the food was amazing! I couldn't believe that I was able to eat that much food and still lose weight AND i didn't really crave anything. #MIRACLE lol. Myra thanks so much for believing in me and countless of other beautiful mujeres!
